Travelling through B.

A COUPLE of weeks ago I went
to Kamloops to visit my son Gary
and his wife Stephanie, and of
course to see my beautiful new
grandson Brian Gary, and his
brother Peter.

While travelling there [ met
Tina and Jurjen Abbas, a brother
and sister who had taken the tain
lo Prince George.

Tina told me she worked at the
Miller Bay Hospital in Prince
Rupert in 1958, and from there
went to work in the Vancouver
General Hospital until she retired
in 1978,

Her brother Jurjen worked as an
auditor at Ford Nederlan in Am-
Sterdam for 38 years,

When I met them they were just
laking # tour around B,C,

I also met Mary Easton of St,
John, Newfoundland. She had
been to Prince George visiting a
friend and she was on her way
back to Vancouver to meet her
husband Eric, there for the rac-
quetball nationals,

And speaking of meeting
tourists, have you noticed all the
tour buses already stopping
downtown? There’s also plenty of
tourists in town, here for the fish-
ing, At times it looks almost like
Jasper,

I have a little get well message
going out to Edith Essex at
Cedarvale. I hear Edith bas just
returned home after a stay at the
Hazelton Hospital. Hurry and get
well Edith,

Also this week I would like to
send out a belated congratulations
for a 71st wedding anniversary to
Mr, and Mrs. Ted Campbell from
the Kispiox Valley.

Mr, and Mrs. Campbell were
married on April 26, 1924 in Cal-
iformia. They came to the Kispiox
_ Valley in 1928, Mrs, Campbell is
still living on the original
homestead.

Ted Campbell is now staying at
an extended care unit in the
Wrinch Memorial Hospital in
Hazelton.

Mrs. Campbell will tum 88 on
July 10. Mr. Campbell is now 96
years old.

Congratulations and may you
both be blessed with more good
health.

the death of a very good friend.

Mr. Alex Repp passed away on
April 14 in Prince Rupert.

Mr. Repp and his wife Georgia
came to Terrace in 1953, While
living here he worked for the Ter-
race school board and the
Skeenaview Lodge.

After a few years the Repps
moved to Prince Rupert.

Alex was pre-deceased by his
loving wife Georgia, and sur-
vived by his sons Robin and
Andy,

I had the honour to meet Mr.
Repp a few years ago when he

came to visit his friends Earl and -
