This time, she said during a recent Toronto _ Visit, she is ready to start . fulfilling that promise. Her" musical in- volvement began when she bought her first guitar with trading stamps at age 13. A few years later she quit school in Ottawa to get to- gether with folksingers ruce Cockbum and David Wiffin and caught RPM's eye shortly before itiup.* Seaaveging Wiffin went on to pursue solo careers while Miss Peterson, still only 18, went to New York and joined a rock group, ‘aking Care of Business. From there, she moved to Toronto for a role in the rock opera Hair. Which means that, as of December 4, you'll need more insurable work weeks to qualify for Unemployment Insurance benefits. “10 to 14 weeks, depending on where you live, right?” - Raght again. In regions of low unemployment, claimants will need up to 14 weeks of insurable employment to get UL benefits. This will only happen in places where it’s easier to get and keep a job. . ° Inregions of high unemployment, claimants will need as little as 10 weeks to qualify. But until December 4, the entrance requirement remains ateight weeks wherever you live, “How about the two week waiting period?” No change. The basic two week waiting period remains the same everywhere.
