WHEREAS The nine day Vancouver Centennial Peace Festival
is being held this year from April 19th to 27th;
and, ar

WHEREAS The Vancouver Centennial Peace Disarmament
Symposium is being held this year from Aprif
24th to 26th; and,

WHEREAS : This presents a chailenging opportunity to come
- together to develop strategies for preventing

nuctear war and to celebrate working together to

build a secure future for the world;

NOW THEREFORE I, Leonard ‘Macaulay Traboulay, > Mayor of The
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam
declare the week of April 19th to 27th, 1986 to

be:
"PEACE FESTIVAL WEEK"

in the City of Port Coquitlam; and | do further
deciare April 27th, 1986 to be Walk and Rally

for Peace Day.
