SCHEDULE "C" ~ COMMERCIAL ZONES

Peraitted Signs

Illuminated signs shell be permitted {mn all C Zones.

Signs permitted in Schedule “A" of this Sy-law, as regulated therein.

No anicated signs shall be peraitted in the C-1, CS-1
Tws clrectional signs (off-site) on a lot.

General advertising sigas, including billboard signs as a principle use
only in a CS Zene.

Location and Siting:

ALL signs, except directional signs (off-site) and general advertising
Signs, shall be located on the lot of the building, structure or use to which
they refer.

A free-standing sign may be located in a required yard in the CS-1

CS-2, and CS-3 Zozes, as regulated by the "Sign Requirexents"” Section of this By-law.

(2) In a Cl, C2, C5-2 Zone sith the exception of an awaing sign, no sign
shall project more than 309 =m (0.98 feet) horizontally from the face or wall of
the building co which it is attached.

(b) In the C-3 and C-4 Zones, with the exception of an awning sign, no siga
shall project aeve than 750 x= (2.46 feet) horizontally from the face or wall of
the building to which it fs attached.

(sc) No sign shall project iato or over public property.

Sign Seights:
Ia the C-~i, C-2, C-3, C-4 and (S-2 Zones no sign or part thereof shall
extead or project above the roof line of the building to which tr 1s attached.

(>> In the CS-1 and CS-3 Zones the saxisun height of any sign which extends
or projects above the roof line of a building shall be 1.2 m (3.94 feer).

5. Sign Areas and Densities:
(2) The total coxzbined area of canopy signs and facia signs shall not exceed
follosing percentages of the area of the wall surface of the building to which
they are attached:
i. 45 percent in the CS-2, CS-3 and C-1 Zones,
26 percent in the CS-1] or C-2 Zones.
