Re: Water and Waste School - U.B.C. - May 19th to 21st, 1976

We have the opportunity of sending some of our employees to a

Water and Waste School at the University of British Columbia. This

3 day school dealing in a variety of topics in connection with

sewage systems and treatment plants and water systems. The Engineer
would like tc send our Sewer Foreman and our Water Maintenanceman to
the School this year and it will then mean that all of our senior
water and sewer personnel will have attended this School for training.

The cost of the course is minimal - $40.00 per person plus $16.65 per
day for accommodation. I would recommend that the two employees be
given approval to attend and that their expenses be paid.

Re: National Recreation and Park Association Conference

The Engineer has advised that the Recreation and Park Association Conference
will be held in Spokane April 24th to 27th. <A copy of the programme for
the Maintenance and Operations Institute section is attached.

The Engineer recommends that Won Kim be permitted to attend and that his
expenses be paid. Registration is $40.00 plus the normal per diem rate
for expenses.
