I urge you gentlemen to adopt my recommendations as shown as I feel they will.
bring about the results that we seek in a far better manner than that which is

used at present.

I recommend the following:

1. That the existing motion re consolidation be rescinded.

2. That a joint meeting of the two Coun

north side.

3. That this meeting also discuss the merits of having an in depth independent
study made on the possibilities of fire department consolidation with the costs off fe Study

being shared on a 50-50 basis.

4. That this entire Council have further in depth discussions on our position on
these matters following this. intermunicipal meeting.

5. That a decision be made on whether or not we agree on a joint fire hall facility

on the north side of our City.

6. If yes, then proceed promptly with the District on site agreement, etc.

7. If no, choose a site for a new City fire hall and make allowance in our '

budgeting for the new City facility.

You may feel that we are going back to square one gentlemen and perhaps that is
correct, but this way we all will know exactly where we stand. ;
