TECHNICAL RESEARCH REPORT The mandate of my project is to research and implement a technical information Library. I have spoken to approximately 20% of the Guild membership to get a start on what you want researched. The following is a partial list. Subjects researched: health care plan fer artists local Kiln building and maintenance workshop safety (materials & procedures) material buying co-op Subscriptions to ceramic magazines using heavy metals in low fire glazes tf @ 8 68 Subjects under research: = testing pots for texic emissions - technical assistance from local ceramic industry - “artist-in-residence” program at an industrial site I have nailed a box marked “Technical Research” below the bulletin board in the office above the Gallery, to receive any suggestions you may have about what you want researched. Nathan Rafla ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT As the latest in a series of government-funded administrators, my job ia to research and provide information and resources to help potters to market their work, from self presentation, exhibitions, export, legal matters and dealing with clients, to developing attitudes and approaches to selling that facilitate the process for all involved. There are lots of ideas to pursue. but in order to best meet your needs. I have compiled the attached questionnaire which should be filled out and returned as soon as possible. We are in the process of gleaning all Kinds of useful information to pass on in newsletters and/or keep on file in the library for your use. Piease come in and get the latest Publications on taxation. business development etc. We are hoping to set up 4a resource for interior designers and display artists to have access to your work through slides and photographs on File in the library, so please mail ua a eens of four slides of your work that best represents what you do, some ographica information on rsel and a technical des tion of your work and “ ic considerations. We can use these for compiling shows for possible exhibitions/sales and promote your work in any ways we can. So in your own best interest. please comply as soon as possible.
