od | — 5 d Fashion Covering up with coats TERRACE ~—Winter is on it’s way, so now is the time to pull out your winter coat — before the snow arrives. by Elizabeth Evans, Terrace Fashion Columnist For those of you who.are in need of a new winter coat or jacket, here area few hints. ~ First of all there is no one particular style for coats. There are several different types to choose from. For instance, there is the dressier long coat, the shorter yet still dressy coats, bomber jackets and, of course, casual jackets such as parkas, down filled or ski jackets, Here are a few reminders in choosing the right one’ for you. If you are limiting yourself to one new winter jacket choose one that is most practical for you; and one that is warm and durable, to withstand Terrace winters! In choosing the right size make sure there is ample room in the shoulders. This is especially true in choosing winter clothing as you will often have layers of clothes on underneath your jacket. Make sure the sleeve length is long enough to cover up your wrists. It’s better to have, sleeves too long rather than too short. . There are many colors to choose from this year, blues, greens, pinks, reds, purples and other blends such as plaids or tweeds. When you are out shopping far your new winter garment look for a style, such as the classic double breasted coat or for a casual hip length bomber jacket, that will not be out of style next year. It is most important that you choose one that is tight for your needs.
