EMERGENCY LANDING FIELD

Wanted at Terrace for Planes—Board
of Trade Taking Action

An emergency landing field in Ter-:
race has long been discussed, and in
times efforts have been made too inter-
est the authorities in establishing one
such field here. With a stretch of 180
miles from the Hazelton field to Prince
Rupert, and nothing available there
but the athletic field on Acropolis Hill
it- has been felt that this week’s oc-
curnnees confirms the opinion, that, in
the interests of safety to those who
travel by air sneh ao field should be
established as quickly as possible. All
the papers in the south report that re-
lief labor is being used for such work.
uu] it may as well be used in the same
way for estublishing and improving
fields in the north.
