CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS

The Maple Sugar Festival du Sucre d’Erable 2008 is fast approching, and
the volunteer organisation process has begun. The 2008 Festival is held
at Beban Park from February 20 to 24, with volunteers needed
before, during, and after that week. Our wonderful team of festival
volunteers is being rounded up for another fun-filled week of Maple
Sugar activities and we always welcome newcomers.

If you'd like to enjoy some pure Nanaimo “Joie de Vivre’, please contact
the Francophone Association office (AFN) today and check out the vari-
ous volunteer opportunities that await you!

The Festival needs volunteers for the tasks leading up to the event and
the event itself. There are many different volunteer opportunities and
departments needing specific skills. Perhaps you have a particular talent
and ability, such as: organising & leading a team, carpentry, food service
or prep, technical know-how, computers, special class driver's license,
sales, etc. Let us know what your preferences and availibility are, and
remember that knowledge of the French language is not a prerequisite.
Everyone is welcome to apply for a position within our dynamic team
of volunteers!
