3.0 Alternatives:
A number of altematives are available for consideration:

3.1.1 Extend culvert draining lower field at Thompson Park and fill in short
water course to the cast of Thompson Park.

3.1.2 Fill in water course along the length of Thompson Park,

3.1.3 Relocate fence along west side of Work Yard to the west edge of the water
course.

3.1.4 A combination of the above.

Financial Implication:

The cost of extending the culvert to the water course on the east edge of
Thompson Park is estimated to be $3650.00 As identified in the attached memo
from Steve Brown, this price includes the connection and installation of pipe
complete with a concrete bag heudwall and includes the capping of the existing
inlet structure on Cameron Avenue. It does not include fill, top soil or seeding.

It is felt that the fill and top soil can be obtained at no charge from other City
projects.

A change order would be required to relocate the fence along the Works Yard
property to the west side of the water couse. The cost of this change order has
been estimated at $3,076.61. Please see the attached memo from Gord Voncina.
Citizen Implication:

People who use Thompson Park will be most appreciative of any improvements
that can be made to the existing situation at Thornpson Park.
