That Council direct staff to review and report on options for funding and construction of road
and drainage projects costing less than $25 ,000. |

Council established the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Bylaw to provide annual funding
for minor road and drainage projects. Under this bylaw, minor road and drainage irnprovernent
projects for a specific year are constructed and financed from interest revenue gained froma $2
million reserve fund. — | . i

It is anticipated that by April or May of 1994, the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund .
will be fully allocated for 1994. It is recommended that Council direct staff to consider alternate
sources of funding for smaller road and drainage projects that need to be constructed after the
1994 Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund is full allocated. |
