Carried, From the City Planner, November 18th, 1993 regarding Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2848 - Public Input and Future Actions. Moved by Councillor Wright: Seconded by Councillor Gordon: That the City Council give Third Reading to Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2848, including the amendments attached as Appendix I of the report from the City Planner of November 9th, 1993 attached to Council Agenda. That Council approve the recommendations detailed in the report from City Planner, November 18th, 1993 as attached to Council Agenda, on the eight suggestions made at the Public Hearing where the Planning Department recommended no action prior to adoption of the Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2848. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution: Mov i don: c illor H That third reading of the Official Community Plan be deferred and further public input be sought. Moved by Councillor Gordon: Seconded by Councillor Keryluk: That the recommendations in the report from the City Planner include the following Physical Environment Policies for Colony Farm also encompass Douglas Island, subject to information from the So’icitor: That prior to any disturbance of Douglas Island lands, the City will require a detailed environmental assessment of the area to identify and suggest means to minimize potential impacts on local wildlife, fish, and vegetation.
