Recommendation - Model CC30943 from Westminster Chev,

Reason - The lowest tender is a motor home chassis and
does not meet our specifications.

Cost - $8,431.02 plus an allowance of about $4,000.00 for
the dump body which has not yet been tendered,

Budgeted Amount - $15,000.00

item 6 - One Single Axle Cab & Chassis for Dump

No. of Tenders Received - 6
Recommendation - Model C7D042 from Westminster Chev. with
gasoline engine and Eaton 2322 two-speed
rear axle.
Reason - Lowest tender with a gasoline engine. Diesel
engine models do not have an economical sized
diesel engine available and have too large a
cost difference,
Cost ~ $18,787.60 including optional rear axle plus a future
allowance of about $7,000.00 for dump body,
Budgeted Amount = $34,000.00

It is apparent from the difference between the budgeted amounts
and the tendered prices that we are getting good prices on all our vehicles
this year. May we have Council's approval to purchase these items as recom—
mended above.
