; The Parks and Recreation Committee have discussed problems
that have arisen at Youth Dances which have been sponsored by other
organizations other than the Recreation Department. The main .
Problem arising is that there appears to be a lack of Supervision

for the number of teens attending the dance.

Recommendation

The Parks and Recreation Committee recommend that any 5
Organization wishing to sponsor a teen dance in any city facility
must follow the procedure and standards set down by the Recreation
Department; and further that the Service Clubs within the city of

Port Coquitlam be notified of the above recommendation.
