That the City of Port Coquitlam hest the June, 1973 meeting of the Lower

Mainland Municipal Association. Carried.

. From Mr. W.H. Overend, Director of the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board
of Management, December A9th, 1972 regarding new registution procedure. Alderman
@rauger advised that the new Port Coquitlam Library hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.3

Tuesday, and Thursday = open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m;

Saturday - open from 10:69 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Alderman Ranger further advised that approximately 60 children attended the
first Children's Story Hour operated by the Friends of the Library, and that these
sessions are being held every Saturday at the Port Coquitlan Library.

From Mrs. Thelka Wright, January 7th, 1973, advising that the FISH organiza-
tion, which has been operating in Port Coquitlam for the last three years, has
more calls for transportation than any other type of assistance, and recommending
that consideration be given to.a "Dial-a-Bus" service, which is having much suc-

cess in Regina.

That a letter be sent to Mrs, T. Wright thanking her for bringing the need

for a "Dial-a-Bus" service in

the City to the Council's attention, and advising
her that an "in-depth" report en transportation will be forthcoming. Carried,
