Local firm backs APEC protesters in legal fight F A LOCAL BUSINESS is contributing to a legal defence fund set up for students who were pepper sprayed and jailed during their protest against APEC leaders in Vancouver last November, Hawkair Aviation decided to contribute $1,000 to the protesters’ legal defence fund, said company co-owner Dave Menzies.
