The Directors have asked me to prepare a summary of some of the outstanding events our Association participated in. : The period between our last General Meeting and the coming Annual Meeting this November 30th, has been very exciting and constructive. After a lot of effort on our part, and with the support of six North Fraser Municipalities, we have finally seen the Mary Hill By-pass firmly nailed down and construction started. Your Association kept a rathér low profile curing the long period awaiting the s:ueduling of Provincial and Federal elections. ” Port Coquitlam has also undergone election changes and we now have a new Mayor in George Laking. We look forward with no misgivings at the opportunity of-once again working with George knowing that our industry's future, locally, will be in sympathetic and capable hands. We also recognize the strong support received from Alderman John Keryluk during a very critical and active period. We welcome a new Alderman in the person of Mike Gates and extend him our best wishes and a welcome to join in the ’ development of industry for the betterment of our community. We are happy to announce that the Association is now registered under the Societies Act of British Columbia. Copies of our Constitution will be available at the Annual Meeting.
