November 29th, 1976 REPORTS: , City Clerk re From the City Clerk, November 25th, 1976, advising that at the .. elevators~2-storey , buildings November 15th, 1976 Council meeting it was agreed that the following resolution would be submitted this evening for formal ratification: "That every building over two storeys constructed in the City of Port Coquitlam be required to have an elevator; AND THAT every elevator so provided be of sufficient size to accommodate - a stretcher and other necessary emergency equipment." At the suggestion of Acting-Mayor Aiderman Thompson, it was generally agreed that the foregoing proposed resolution be amended, for greater SED mY, clarity, by words "Commercial or Apartment” between the words "every" and "building" where they appear in the first line thereof. The City Administrator advised that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities had requested municipalities to submit comments on this report to assist the UBCM in preparing a review thereof, and he then submitted a commentary on the Bawlf Report from a more technical standpoint that had been prepared earlier today by Alderman Laking and the City's Planning Officer.
