is a reflection of the high unemployment that exists at the present
time. Alderman Mabbett referred to the renovations being undertaken at
the Golden Ears Hotel on Shaughnessy Street, and pointed out that there
is no protection for the public during the work that is being undertaken
to the face of the building. The City Administrator advised he would

endeavour to have the situation rectified. The report was then ordered

Operation. Alderman Keryluk drew attention to the number of pets destroyed

on request during the month of May, and stated his view that establishment

of the proposed low-cost spay and neuter clinic the City declined to

assist financially would have provided a means of controlling the pet
