Alderman Thompson introduced a By-law to amend the "City of Port

Coquitlam Sanitary Sewer and Storm Drain Connection By-law, 1971, No.

1091".

The City Clerk advised that By-law No. 1544, proposed to amend the
"City of Port Coquitlam Public Health By-law, 1969, No. 908", had received
the necessary Provincial approval, and members of Council generally agreed
that the same be further considered at this time.

That By-law No. 1544 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.

The City Clerk then submitted a By-law to close a portion of road
located between 1918 and 1926 Mery Hill Road, and it was agreed that the
same be given initial consideration at this time.

Alderman Thompson introduced a By-law to stop up and close to
traffic a portion of road dedicated by Plan 2207 situated in District

Lot 290, Croup One, New Westminster District in the City of Port Coquitlam.

Alderman Laking voted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of tue foregoing resolution, Alderman Laking
stated he was opposed to the 11' part of the road to be closed being
sold te the owner of 1918 Mary Hill Road for the sum of $450.00, as it
is below the usual price per foot for City land; however, the City
Administrator explained that the owner of 1918 Mary Hill Road presently
uses that part of the road for access to his property, and he had indicated

he would not be willing to consent to the road closure without. such

compensation,
