"City of Port Coquitlam Pound and Animal Raguiation Bylaw, 1970, No. 1020.” | The Municipal Coumeill of the Corporations ofthe City of Port Coquitlam, ia open meeting assembled, enacts as follewa:. 1. That Section 1 of the “City of Port Coquitlam Pound and Animal Regulation Bylaw, 1970, No. 1020” ba amended by; a (a) deleting the definition of “Vicious: Dog” in subsection (h) and aubsctituting the following: “Dangerous dog means a dog which: (4) has 4 known propeneity, teadewy;-or dispoeities: to attack persons.or other animala; (11) has aggressively pursued, attacked, or bitten a person or another animal; or (114) has been trained for or ig@ owned, possessed, of harbored primarily or in part for the purpose of dog fighting.” (b) adding che following definition after subsection (h); "(1) ‘Enclosure’ means a fence or structure at least 1.8 metres in height suitable to confine a dangerous dog and prevent the entry of young children.” 2. The Bylaw is further amended by adding the. follewing seetiens after Section 6: "64 No person who owns or keepa a dangerous dog shall permit or allow the dog to be on any highway or in any public place or any other place that is not owned or controlled by that person, unlesa the dog is on 4 leash and muzzled to prevent it from biting another animal or a human . : Every person who owns or keepe a dangerous dog shall, st all times while the dog is on the premises owned or controlled by such person, keep the dog securely confined either indoors and under the control of a competent person not leaa than 16 yeare of age, or outdoors in an enclosure that ia kept locked at all times except whan the dog is being placed in or taken from the enclosure.” 3. Seetion 20 of the Bylaw is amended by deleting therefroa the worda “vicious or”. . 4. Seetion 23 of the Bylaw is amended by deleting therefrom tha words “or vieLous”. oo
