Freeman City Clerk SUBJECT: Attack Warning Siren - Patricia Avenue at Cedar Drive. RECOMMENDATION : That the memorandum of Agreement. between The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and Her Majesty the Queen In Right of Canada wherein a licence is granted to Her Majesty to maintain Attack Warning Siren No. 164 on Patricia Avenue near Cedar Drive for a term of Five (5) years from the First day of February, 1982 together with a further five year term at the option of Her Majesty be approved; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the said Agreement on behalf of the City and affix the Corporate Seal thereto. BACKGROUND AND_COMMENTS : Passage of the draft resolution by the Council will authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Agreement that is also attached to this memorandun. This attack warning siren was constructed in 1963 and the Agreement has been renewed by the Council as required since that date. It should be particularly noted that although the Agreement is stated to be for a five year period it includes a clause that gives Canada the a a right to automatically renew it for a further five years.
