The report noted that if a Provincial ambulance was located in Port Coquitlam the Fire Department would continue to operate the inhalater service. From the Land Sales Committee, July 12, 1974 concerning land sale and cane Sale ; : , . exchange land exchange with the G.V.R.D. Housing Department and advising that the with CVRD Committee had met on July 12, 1974 and recommended the following: beet. = 1. The sale of 15 City-owned lots (62,159 sq. ft.) to GVRD Housing Dept. at $124,318.00 ($2.00/sq.ft.). 2. Closure and Sale of 137,426 square feet of road allowance to GVRD Housing Department at $206,135.00 ($1.50/sq.ft.). 3. Even exchange of a portion of City-owned parkland for the S/E corner of the GVRD Housing Site. The exact amount of land involved is to be determined by legal survey at the cost of GVRD Housing Department. Alderman Ranger inquired as to whether the Committee had met with staff members of the G.V.R.D. in establishing the price. Alderman Keryluk explained that no meeting had been held with the G.V.R.D. however the price established was the Committee's estimate of value based on appraisal and that the G.V.R.D. were free to come back and negotiate if they felt this price was excessive. Alderman Thompson questioned the valuation of the 15 City owned lots which works out to a value of approximately $8,000. per lot raw land price. Alderman Thompson felt that this was below current market value. Details of the apprais- al were not on hand. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the report of the Land Sales Committee July 12th, 1974 regarding land sale to the G.V.R.D. Housing Department be tabled pending clarification of some of the problems and after further consultation with the G.V.R.D. Hous- ing Department. Carried.
