_City Clerk, Jan. 27/82 re ‘Council Mtg. Schedule. February Ist, Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the Laurier Avenue Pump Station not be constructed in 1982. Carried, Alderman Muldoon voted against the resolution. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the funds budgeted in 1982 for major drainage works be used to complete the culvert across Burns Road and to clean the Cedar ditch from Prairie Avenue to the Cedar Pump Station. Carried. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resulution Alderman Mabbett suggested that the culvert on Coast Meridian Road be included in Item #4. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That Item #4 of the City Engineer's January 28th, 1982 memorandum regarding possible drainage improvements be amended to include the culvert on Coast Meridian Road. Defeated. Aldermen Wright and Mabbett voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution Alderman Muldoon stated in her opinion the amendment to include the culvert on Coast Meridian Road should not be accepted and upon the Mayor ruling that it could be accepted challenged the Chair. Mayor Traboulay then put the question: Shall the Chair be sustained? Affirmed. Alderman Muldoon voted against the question. Aldermen Gates, Laking, Mabbett and Wright voted in favour of the question.
