50th wedding anniversary

- The 50th wedding anniversary of Leo and Adeline Llewellyn will be celebrated on Saturday,
May 31, 1988. Family and friends are cordially Invited to attend an open house belng held at

and 4:00 p.m.

Long time Terrace residents Oscar and Rose Farkvam
celebrated thelr 50th wedding anniversary on the weekend.
The married couple are pictured on their wedding day in Ter-
race 50 years ago. The local celebration included a family
raunion with over 200 people In attendance. Some guests
arrived from as far away as Norway. One visitor was Oscar's
brother who he hadn't sean in approximately 57 years.

the walking efforts of
thousands of seniors bet-
ween May 24 and June 1
will be combined to total
476,000 miles, or the
distance to the moon and
back, ,

The B.C. Old Age
Pensioners’ Organiza-
tion, Branch No. 73, in-
vites all seniors in the
Terrace area to join the
effort by taking part in
an Elderobic Moonwalk.
and Picnic to Ferry
Island on Wednesday,
May 28. Participants will
meet at the Happy Gang
Centre, 3226 Kalum
Street, at 2:30 p.m. to
begin the walk together.
Bring a bag lunch. Cars
will be provided to carry
the lunches and to pick
up stragglers. In case of
inclement weather, the
picnic will be held at the
Happy Gang Centre
after a 15-minute walk.

The Elderobic Moon-
walk is being combined
with a walk for par-
ticipation in the fitness
challenge between Ter-
race, Kitimat and Prince
Rupert. Be sure to come
to join in this group ef-
fort.
