That Mr. Bonham be requested to explain to Council and/or the public the proposed project at an early date. In this regard some aspects of the proposed design have been questioned by the consultants and by ir. Lockwood and myself, and Mr. Bonham has assured us thet the works proposed in the Outline Report are not necessarily finalized. Defeated. Aldermen Ranger and Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution. His Worship the Mayor advised that provisicn is presently made for two 1 week periods per year for residential burning coinciding with clean-up weeks and therefore the recommendation set forth under Item B. of the report to re- tain this service requires no resolution. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That Item C. set forth in a report from the Building & Protection Commit- tee, September 19th, 1974, recommending that no smakelegs burners be allowed to operate in the City of Port Coquitlam unless they are set up permanently and to the satisfaction of the Building & Protection Committee, be endorsed. Aldermen Ranger and Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution. His Worship the Mayor declared Item D of the report recommending that the Council contact the District of Coquitlam to ask if they will consider impos~ ing the same regulations under their Fire By-law to be instituted by January Ist, 1975, to be redundant in view of the fact that the recommendations set forth under Items A and C did not receive the approval of the Council.
