-2~ the construction of the Coquitlam Hospital and the Committee does not wish to make any further recommendation in this regard except to propove an additional recommendation that the functional plan for the Coquitlam Hospital covering this ‘type of care to be provided, services etc. must be given a close review in the light of current health care methods and be amended to provide a genuine community health care service and not a duplicate of present hospital operation. 4. Anti Noise By-law The Committee will pursue this matter further with Mr. Ralph Palmer upon his return fro holidays. 5. Levésque Boarding Home A letter was received from the Department of Health advising that the Levesque Boarding Home at 2143 Fraser Avenue was being taken over by a new operator and asking if Councii had any objections to the continued operation of this home as. a community care facility. The Committee had no objection providing the operation of the Home meets with Provincial Regulations and Municipal By-laws and would recommend the Council of the continued operation of the Home be approved. 6. Community Care Facilities Licencing The Committee was asked to review the existing policy of Council on the issuance of community care facilities licences. At the present time these facilities are covered in our Zoning By-law and are permitted in an RS-1 zone undex the following conditions. a.) They shall be restricted to the care of up to 10 ambulatory guests only. and the care of non ambulatory guests shall not be permitted. ‘b.)
