That the October Ist, 1976 report of the Public Works Committee Tecomendiog that: 1, The City agrees to the dissolution of the Coquitlam Dyking . astrict and the transferring of its assests and Mabilities to each sunicipality in proportion to the 1875 revenues from the Dyking District ,: areas within each municipality, 2. The City ageees to accept Dykea, Pumphouses, Ficod Boxes, and Lands located within the City. 3. The City is prepared to enter fito an Agreement with British Colunabia and the Diseriect of Coquitlam to operate and maintain inproved works. 4. The City agrees in Principle with the expenditure of an estimated $336,000. for the Ceder pumphouse and Laurier, Dominion, and Harbour puzp su=ps. Freeman, City Clerk, "THIS AGREEMENT made-the - —* day of + 1977; BETWEEN: THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PoRT COQUITLAM, a city municipality, carrying on business at 2272 McAllister Avenua, in the City of Port Coquitlam, in the Province of British Coluadia, (hereinafter called the "City")} OF THE FIRST PART DISTRICT OF COQUITLAM, a district municipality carrying on business at 111) Brunettes Avenue, in the Municipality of Coquitlam, in the’ Province of British Columbia, (hereinafter catied the “District*} OF THE SECOND PART WHEREAS the Coquitiam Dyking District is to be divided into two sections, being firstly, the area from Cedar Drive at the westerly erid of the Defouvilie Siough, along the north side of the said slough to the Pitt River and thence northerly to its termination (hereinafter called the “North Section") and secendly, froa Cedar Crive at the westerly end of the DeBouville Slough, along the south side of the said slough to the Pitt River and thence southerly to its termination (hereinafter called the "South Section"); ANQ WHEREAS the South Section of the Coquitlea Oyking District is to be dissolved and the assets, rights, claims, oblicaticns and liabilities thereof transferred proportionately to the City and Discrict for the operation and maintenance of the drainage, dyking and riverbank Protection and flood control works by the City under an Agreanent with the Province of British Columbia; AND WHEREAS under the Federal Provincia!
