Ecole Brodeur Parents Committee has a scoop for you. The parents have decided to publish a newsletter of their own “L’écho de1’école” and the first edition has been printed last December. It is a first in British- Columbia and you are the first to know about it. Usually schools published a newsletter to inform parents on what happens at school but parents at Brodeur are innovative and publish their own. In the newsletter you will find the eleven names of the Committee members whose new president is André Picard. The visits most of the time coincided to the monthly meeting of the Committee and helped the Association’s representatives to get acquainted with S now, pouring rain, smiles, ferries, parents they had not met or did not know well yet and to strengthen the ties with the parents already impficated. Among the services the Association will offer in Spring on site training to all Parents’ Committees interested to answer their specific needs. These needs vary, from the importance of culture at school to school governance. During the visits sometimes School’s Administrators joined parents as well as teachers. We want to thank you for your warm welcome. Powell River The Centre scolaire communautaire Society have submitted the project to the School Board and the Ministry of Education. The project is aimed at the use of a school presently unoccupied to open a centre and is backed up by the School Board. The last step before cheering is to obtain the support of the Trustees. The whole thing is of course subject to an adequat financing from the Ministry of Education and the Federal Government.
