Re: Shaughnessy Street Underpass

We are pleased to present to you a cost estimate for repair and
upgrading of the above noted structure as proposed jin our reports of May
and September 1989,

The work covered in this estimate include the removal of surficial
layer of deck, exposure of the top steel in the deck slab at the two end
abutments and the placement of a 2" overlay. The estimated cost is
itemized in the following:

+ 2 " new concrete overlay
Total 850 S.F.

Deck at abutments - 200 S. F. $9.5/58.F. $ 1,900.00
removal of concrete: to below
bars + replacement with new

Contingencies $ 3,800.00
TOTAL $12,500.00

The contingency item is intended to cover cost of mobilization, minor
repairs to the soffit of the deck slab, possible repairs to corroded top
bars in the deck at the abutments and any other unforeseen expenses.

Repair to corroded bars at the abutment include cleaning the bars and
possibly adding supplementary prestfeqetmipenon make up for the area lost to
corrosion if any, a PA
