2194 Salisbury Street Port Coquitlam, B. C, V3B 1Y) November-27, 199] Mr. C. F. (Kip) Gaudry, P. Eng. Deputy City Engineer City of Port Coquitlam 2580 Shaughnessy Street Port Cc itlam, B. C. V3C 2AE Dear Sir: Re: New Driveway Access - 2194 Salisbury Street 4 a Es Please reconsider your decision to deny us access for a driveway to our back yard off Shaughnessy Street as this creates a real hardship. There appears to be an easement for storm sewer along the edge of our property along Shaughnessy Street which, along with the additional setback requirement, no doubt limited the builder in the size and placement of the house on the lot. (The other two homes east of 2194 Salisbury which were built by the same builder have a wider dimension along Salisbury which enables them to have a double driveway, providing: more space for yard parking.) The easement and setback requirements for 2194 Salisbury no doubt were the reason why only a single driveway was possible. ’ There is virtually no street parking along the perimeter availabie along the property frontage on Salisbury as you cannot park close to the corner. Salisbury is too narrow to park a rec vehicle on the street. There iS no parking available along Shaughnessy for a rec vehicle due to the bus stop located along our property. (As a separate issue, due to the buS stop we have a lot of vandalism to our house and fence to contend with. We pick up a lot of litter from bus patrons as well.) The denial for back yard access places a real hardship on us. Please reconsider our request. Yours truly, Kelel pourl 5 Herbert Sperling c: Igor Zahynacz, P. Eng. Cit Gord Voncina, Operation
