THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BYLAW NO. 2568 A Building and Plumbing Bylaw for the City of Port Coquitlam WHERE?S the Building Regulations of British Columbia apply to The Corporation of the City cf Port Coquitlam; AND WHEREAS the City Council may by bylaw regulate construction and related matters, and provide for the administration of the Building Reguiations; NOW THEREFORE the City Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. DEFINITIONS. In this Bylaw: “Agent” means a person authorized by an Owner to represent the Owner for the purpose of this Bylaw. "Building" means any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy. "Building Inspector" includes the Director of Building Permits and Inspections and the Building Inspectors, the Plumbing Inspector and the Clerk-Permits, acting under the supervision of the Director of Building Permits and Inspections. “Building Code" means the British Columbia Building Code established pursuant to the Building Regulations of British Columbia, B.C. Regulation 192/87, as amended or re-enacted from time to time. “pield review" means inspections of the work at a construction site and at fabrication locations where applicable, including keeping records of all site visits and any corrective action taken, under the supervision of a Professional Designer as the Professional Designer considers necessary in order to ascertain that the work substantially conforms in all material respects to the plans and supporting documents prepared by the Professional Desiqner for the project for which a permit has been issued. "Multiple-Family Residential Building" means a building containing three or more dwelling units. “Gwmer'" means the owner of land and includes a lessee with authority to build on land. “Plumbing Inspector" means a person appointed by Council to administer the provisions of this Bylaw concerning piupyemgrns wimg under the supervision of the Director of Building Permits apdwed eA PAGE |
