A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on February 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and MLR. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L-D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, and Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer. ZONING PUBLIC HEARINGS: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-laws to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. By~law No. 1800: To rezone Block 1 of Lot 290, Group 1, Map 1957, New Westminster District Save and Except part subdivided by Plan 33303, from A-l to RS-1. This property is located at 1925 Mary Hill Road and it is anticipated that following completion of the rezoning procedures the northerly portion of the property will be subdivided into ten single family residential lots with access to Shaughnessy Street via Stafford Avenue. The balance of the property is expected to be subdivided at a later date. City Planner Lance Lee provided an explanation of the project and in response to inquiries from His Worship the Mayor no comments were received. By-law No. 1803: To rezone the remainder of the West half of Lot "D" of Lot 3 of the Northeast Quarter, Section 6, Township 40, Plan 9737, shown on a plan of Subdivision in process prepared by Vernon C. Goudal & Associates, British Columbia Land Surveyors and assigned No. C~+3074-80, from RS-2 to RS-1. This property is addressed as 831 Prairie Avenue and the rezoning is being undertaken to permit the rezoning and subdivision of adjacent property pursuant to the provisions of Zoning Amendment By-law No. 1796. It is not intended that any change in the actual use of the property that is the subject of this rezoning by-law will occur at this time.
