That By-law No. 1712 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.
Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

discussion ensued on a letter received from the R.C.M.P. regarding the

PoCo Cabana Teen Disco. Aldermen Mabbett, Laking and Wright expressed
concern regarding the use of drugs in the discotheque and Alderman
Wright expressed particular concern regarding the mixture of age groups
attending the discotheque contrary to the provision of the By-law.

Alderman Traboulay stated in his opinion the owner of the discotheque

should be invited to Council to answer the various items in the R.C.M.P.

letter.

Seconded by Alderman Ranger:

That final reading of By-law No. 1712 be deferred;
AND THAT Mr. Harder, cwner of the PoCo Cabana Discotheque and a
representative from the R.C.M.P. be invited to attend the Council meeting

ou October 29th, 1979 to discuss the problems being experienced with the

discotheque.
