OBITUARY The recent death of Frank Chamois in Shaughnessey Mil- itary Hospital in his 80th year removes a colorful figure from the pioneer ranks of B.C. la- bor. Frank Chamois served with the French army in the 1900 Boxer uprising and _ later throughout the first world war. Emigrating to Canada, Chamois homesteaded on the prairie before moving to B.C. During the thirties Chamois was an active member of the Communist party and an ac- tive supporter and builder of the workers’ press. To Keep Healthy — Visit HASTINGS STEAM BATHS 766 E.
