FROM PAGE ONE "MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT" 16. THAT Sec. 1 of Art. XV be amended by providing that the name of the Health and Welfare Plan shall be: “I.W.A.-Forest Industry Health and Welfare Plan.” 17. THAT Art. XV be further amended by providing that the Weekly Indemnity, specified in Sec. 3 (b) be increased from $50.00 per week to $75.00 per week. 18. THAT administrative procedures in the form agreed upon be established to improve communica- tions with Local Unions in regard to the operation of the I.W.A.-Forest Industry Health and Welfare Plan. 19. THAT Sec. 7 of Art. XVII be amended to provide that when hiring new employees preference shall be — given to those applicants seeking employment in the 4 order set out herein. (a) Former employees of the parent Company seeking employment as a result of operational closures or crew reduction in other operations of the Company. (b) Applicants seeking employment as a result of closure of a certified F.I.R. operation in the Coast Forest Products Industry. ee ee ee ee oe ee 62 fo (c) Applicants who have had previous seniority with the Company and who have applications on file. (d) A Committee to be set up to establish proce- dures. 20. THAT Sec. 9 of Art. XVII be amended to provide that the Company shall supply a seniority list to the Union twice during each calendar year. 21. THAT Art. XVIII be amended to provide that employees who are absent by reason of illness or injury do not require written permission from the Company for such leave. 22. THAT Art. XXIV, Sec. 1 be amended to provide for a single arbitrator in matters of interpretation of the Master Agreement. 23. THAT Art. XXV be amended by the addition of the following clauses with the existing Article desig- nated as Clause (a): (b) The parties to this Agreement expressly agree that there will be no activity within the mean- ing of (a) above threatened, declared, author- Pe ee we ized, counselled, aided or brought about on its part. (c) In the event of a strike during the term of this — Agreement the Union will instruct its mem- bers and officers who may be involved to cease such activity and comply with the terms __ of this Agreement. if 24. THAT the Memorandum of Agreement on Fire Fighting dated July 12, 1966, be incorporated in the Master Agreement. ae 25. THAT Art. XXVI be amended to provide for the Master Agreement as amended herein, to be effec- tive from the 15th day of June, 1968, to the 14th day of June, 1970.
