I. POLICY AMENDMENTS Some of the comments received resulted in changes to the policies in the Draft O.C.P. Most cf these changes were essentially housekeeping aiendments te clarify or enhance policies, broaden their scope, or make some of them more emphatic. The following is a summary of some of areas in which changes to the wording of policies were made: Some Physical Environment policies were changed to be more emphatic. Seasonal restrictions will also apply to site clearing. Environmental assessments prior to development in Colony Farm will address impacts on wildlife, fish and vegetation, not just raptors. Policies on Colony Farm clarified as to restricting intensive development. Request the use of native vegetation in landscaping of development sites. Include references to Provincial and Federal authorities when dealing with applications affecting the river foreshores. Planting and screening around parking areas to allow adequate safety surveillance. Ind ial A Polici Address issue of contamination by industrial users. Promote the planting of more trees in industrial areas. Parks and Recreation Policies Re-effirm preservation of parks designated lands. Reject infill residential subdivisions, in areas without parks.
