Comm. — recommending that the application from the Simon Fraser Health Unit to Oct. 28/77 re SFHU appl. to permit a Family Day Care for up to 5 children, at 917 Richmond place be permit Family Day Care - approved subject to the Simon Fraser Health Unit obtaining the necessary 917 Richmond Pl. approvals from the Fire Prevention Officer and the Electrical Inspector. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the report of the Environmental Protection Committee, October 28th, 1977 recommending approval of an application from the Simon Fraser Health Unit for Family Day Care for up to 5 children at 917 Richmond Place be approved subject to the Simon Fraser Health Unit obtaining the necessary approvals from the Fire Prevention Officer and the Electrical Inspector. Carried. From the Land Sales Committee, October 28th, 1977 recommending that Land Sales Comm. Oct. 28/77 the request from the Vancouver Sun to locate one of their Newspaper re Van. Sun Substation. on Substations on property owned by the City at 3253 Sefton Street be city owned prop. granted and that the Rental Agreement be completed wherein the Vancouver Sun pay the sum of $90.00 per quarter and maintain the building and site. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the recommendation from the Land Sales Committee, October 28th, 1977 to approve the request from the Vancouver Sun to locate one of their Newspaper Substations on property owned by the City at 3253 Sefton Street be granted and that the Rental Agreement be completed wherein the Vancouver Sun pay the sum of $90.00 per quarter and will be responsible for keeping the building in good repair and well painted and the site will be kept free of garbage. Carried. Prior to passage of the resolution Alderman Traboulay introduced Mr. E.A. Comeau, representative for the Vancouver Sun Substations and Mr. Comeau answered questions from the Council on the Substation.
