ASMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT 16. Adninistration: Thia By-law shall be administered by the But lding Inspector. Sign Persie: With the exceprion of the signs listed in clauses 1 to 13 inclusive of Schedule "A" of this By-law, any person wishing to erect, Place, alter or move any sign shall apply for a sign permit from the Building Inspector. (&) Every application for a sign permit shall be accozpanied by the fol coving: (£}) The street address and legal descriprion of the proposed site of the sign, (11) The naze and address of the person for whose benefit the sigh ia intended, and where the application is made by an agent for such person, the name and addresa of the agent, The nace and address of the person or siga company manufacturing or altering such sign. A plan or plans drawn to scale, and specifications necessary to Provide for the enforcement of this By-law and any Building of Zoning By-law in force for the tine being, including: a) The dinenstons and weight of the sign end, where applicable, the dinensions of the wall surface of the building to whieh té is to be attached. The dinensions and weight of the sign's supporting meinbeta, The maximum and miniaum ketght of the sign. The proposed location of the sign in relation tu the face of the building, in front of which or above which it ls ta be affixed. -10- The proposed location of the sign in relationship to the boundaries uJ the lot upoa etieh ie is to be situated. If the sign is to be illuninated or anicated, the colours to be used aed the techaical means by which this ts to be accomplished. {c) Every application for a sign permit shall be acconpanied by a fee according to the following scale: : (i) for a permit to alter or move 3 sign for which a pernic has been TSSUCD. sees eee ese cecceencenccercccecectscseecc $ 3.00 (ii) for all other APPLECACLONS.... 6. ese cceeeeseeccecscesece $10.00 (4) The Building Inspector shall consider the application, and {tf the sae is in order and the proposed sign confores to ell the provisions of this Ly- law, he shall issue a permit to the applicant. (e) The approval of plans or drawings shali not in any way relieve the applicant from full responsibility for the carrying out of the provisions cf this By-law. 48. Inspection: The Building Inspector is hereby authorized to enter, at ali reasonable tines, upon any property or preaises to ascertain whether the provistons of this By-law ate being obeyed. is, Enforcenent: (a) Every person who violates any provision of this By-law or who causes, suffers or permite any contraventton of its regulations shall be gullty of an infraction thereof and shaJi be liable to the penalties herein inptrsed. (b) Where any Sign or part thereof contravenes this By-law or vhere any sign is in such ¢ condition as to be a danger of Falling or is a menace to the safety of persons or Broperty, the Building Inspecter shall give to rhe ower or person ia charge of the sign written notice specifying the danper or the violation, ordering the ceseation thereof and requiring either the removal of the sign or the carrying out of remedial vork in the time and in the sanner that the notice Shall specify. In the event of failure to corply, the Building Inspector say Jemove the sign ar cause such remedial vork to be done and the rest thereof shen certified by the Treasurer shalt be recoverable by the Corporation in the saze Bennet as municipal taxes.
