January 8th, 1979. A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on January 8th, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, P.F. Ranger, L.M, Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N, Boileau, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell introduved Boy Scout Troop No. 1 from Mary Hill Elementary School, and welcomed them to the Councii meeting, CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes:- Moved by Alderman Laking: December 18/78 Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on December 18th, 1978 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. His Worship Mayor J.M, Campbell expressed greetings to everyone for a Happy New Year and a Successful 1979, BY-LAWS: B/L #1532 - City of Pt.Coq. Zoning B/L, 1978, No. 1628, Amend. B/L, 1977 - Amendmnt & Third Rdg. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the third reading of By~law No. 1532 as given on May 16th, 1977 be rescinded; That the said By-law be amended by striking out the words "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918" wherever they appear and substituting the words "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1978, No. 1628"; That the said By-law be further amended by striking out the words "RS-2 (One-Family Suburban Residential)" wherever they appear and substituting the words "RS-2 (Single Family Residential)"; That the said By-law be further amended by striking out the words "C-4 (Town Sub-Centre Commercial)" wherever they appear and substituting the words "C-4 (Town Centre Commercial)"; AND THAT the said By-law No. 1532, as amended, be read a third time.
