He also teamed up with Pat Harris of Prince George, Paul Johnson of Victoria and Scott Patterson of Vancouver-to form the ' B.C..team in the four-by-100 meter relay. They set a Canadian record with a winning time of two minutes, 9.65 seconds. Clark’s world records were all i impressive. He ripped apart the - 5,000-meter event in a time of 13 minutes, 37.9 seconds, This time — was 37 seconds faster than the 14.14:71 time that Clark set for a world record at Stoke-Mandeville, England, only a few weeks ago. - His time at Stoke had broken the old mark by 49 seconds. He also broke his own world mark in the 400 meters. His previous record (also set at Stoke) was 1.03:88. At Brantford he crossed the . finish line in 1.01:60. The record he set at Stoke in the 1,500 also fell with a new time of | 3.52:0, The old mark was 3.59:89. Finally, Clark took about five seconds off the world mark of 2. 08 for the 800 meters, Paul’s new time was 2.03:25. _ _ Allhis records were set in unsettled weather conditions.
