Council has again this year decided to sponsor a Summer School of the Arts. _ A committee of the Arts Council has been formed to organize the event. Ken Morton is Chairman of the committee, Val George is Secretary and Alan Soutar is Treasurer. ; Other members are: John Chen Wing, Stefan Cieslik, Marilyn Davies, Merry Halisor, Stuart McCallum, Nancy Orr and Joan Spencer, _ Arts-Crafts-Hobby exhi Applications for exhibition are now available for anyone wishing to put ‘their arts, crafts or hobbies on display in the Terrace Annual Arts and Crafts Show, There is no entry fee for this annual event to be held | again at Caledonia Senior ' . Secondary Gym, April 23 and 24, Exhibitors, who can set up their displays on Friday evening, between 4:30 and 9 p.-m., are not required to man their exhibits during | _ the weekend. “For those selling their exhibits a selling booth will | be available. Demonstrations of any eraft, art or hobby such as painting, weavin School District 48 (Terrace) and Northwest Community College will co- sponsor the Summer School which will run from July 11 fo August 12, i977. © It is hoped that the following courses can be included in the program: Suzuki Piano, Child Drama (organized by Terrace Little Theatre), Painting, Life Drawing, Puppets, Recreational Dance, Classical Dance, Voice, Weaving, Music Ap- preciation, Band, Senior Piano, Pottery and Adult Drama. Instructors have been secured for some of the courses and the committee is now looking for in- structors for the others.
