September 28th, 1981.

Alderman Traboulay stated the cost of the proposed pedestrian
signal is high and should be discussed in the 1982 Provisional Budget.
Alderman Wright asked regarding the eost of special lighting and the
City Engineer advised it would be $1200.00 and $15,000.00 for the
pedestrian signal. Alderman’ Wright stated in his opinion the special
lighting should be installed now and proposed the following amendment.

Moved by Alderman Wright:

Seconded by Alderman Muldoon:

That the funds for the proposed pedestrian actuated signal be
placed in the 1982 Provisional Budget subject to the $1200.00 for the
lighting being spent at this time to install the Lighting as soon as
possible.

Defeated.
Aldermen Wright and Muldoon voted in favour of the resolution,
Alderman Gates asked that the Transit. Authority look at a revised

bus route for the Shaughnessy - Lions Park Way bus stop.

That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, September 24th,
1981 signs be installed along the frontage of the No. 1 Fire Hall on
both sides of McAllister Avenue which would prevent the parking, stopping,

or turning of traffic in front of the Fire Hall.
