MONTHLY SERVICE REPORT
CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM
OCTOBER, 1979

During the month 43 complaints were received, however, 30 animals were impounded
of these 13 were claimed with only 5 being destroyed as not been claimed.

During the month Inspectors Prosick and Nelson attended the B.C. S.P.C.A. Vancouver
Regional Branch Training Course which was of one weeks duration. The subject covered

during this course were as follows:

public relations
basic law, evidence, Investigation techniques, etc., given by the training

detachment of the R.C.M.P.
first aid, including injuries to animals and also common diseases

all relevant acts pertaining to humane slaughter, carriage of animals, etc.
which was provided for by the Department of Health of Animals

euthanasia

Both Inspectors attended reached required standards for the award of their quali-
fication certificate.
