the matter before making a statement made an extended statement
concerning her participation in the activities of the Parks and
Recreation Committee and, particularly, in regard to an incident
involving the Senior Citizens' Choir Director and the non-renewal
of his contract.

After hearing Alderman Muldoon's comments the other members of
Council commented and His Worship the Mayor presented a memorandum
dated May 20th, 1981 worded as follows:

"The proceedings of the Recreation Committee indicate there is a
problem and that the Committee is unable to function. I am recommending
to Council and looking for their direction under Section 239 of the
Act for the removal of Alderman Muldoon. This is being done on the

advice of the. City's Solicitor."

Seconded by Alderman Traboulay:

That the recommendation of the Mayor regarding Alderman Muldoon's
removal from the Parks and Recreation Committee be approved.

Alderman Muldoon voted against the resolution.
