MAR j & 1981 and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 267 of the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out of the annual revenue an Indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a portion of the said indemnity to be paid toe the Mayor and Aldermen .shall be paid as an Allowance for expenses incidental te the discharge of the duties of their respective offices; . NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the ‘City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of December, 1980 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1981, there shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporat ion of the City of Port Coquitlam an indemnity of Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00) per annum of which said indemnity the sum ef foven Theussad Three Hundrad Thirty-three ” Dollars and Thirty-three Cents ($7,333.23) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 2. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day of Dezember, 1980 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1981, there shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam an indemnity of Seven Thousand Ninety-five Dollars ($7,095.00) per annum of which said indemnity the sum of Two Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-five Dollars ($2,365.00) shall be paid as’ an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of the office of Alderman. 3. The indemnity provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall be paid by the City Treasurer in twelve equal monthly installments during the months of December, 1980 through November 1981, inclusive, to the person or persons entitled to receive same without further order or resolution of the Council save and except as provided in Section 4 of this By-law. 4, In the event any member of Council is absent for more than three consecut ive regular Council meetings the indemnity that would otherwise be FINAL SEADING
