Detachment be roi o eoq granted to subsidize the Sixth Annual Police/Senior Citizens Picnic to (eubaidy) ' be held in Lions Park on August 9th, 1979. ; Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee, May 25th, 1979 the request for $206.00 from the Coquitlam R.C.M.P. Detachment to subsidize the Sixth Annual Police/Senior Citizens Picnic to be held in Lions Parks on August 9th, 1979, be approved. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Traboulay asked for clarification of the subsidy for the picnic and where the money would be coming from. Alderman Laking advised the money was already budgetted. From the Leisure Activities Committee, May 25th, 1979 recommending LAC, May 25/79 re Pt. Coq. that the Port Coquitlam Old Timers Hockey Association be granted permission Old Timers Hockey Assoc. - Invitational Tournament. A ere ome ee ne eee we coon to host an invitational tournament during the period of September 20th to 23rd, 1979 and that the charges be $30.00 per hour for each ice rink. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution the City Clerk advised Alderman Ranger had submitted a memorandum stating the Leisure Activities Committee has not met to discuss this request and } a } | j i i i requested this item be given approval in principle subject to a satisfactory rate structure heing negotiated between the Committee and the Old Timers Hockey Association. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the request from the Port Coquitlam Old Timers Hockey Association May 15th, 1979 for permission to host an invitational tournament during the period of September 20th to 23rd, 1979 be approved in principle; SUBJECT TO a satisfactory rate structure being negotiated between the Committee and the Old Timers Hockey Association. Defeated. Aldermen Ranger and Keryluk voted in favour of the resolution.
