Prior to the question being called on the above noted resolution, Alderman Laking enquired if a complaint was received with respect to City-owned property, would the City be required to clear the property under the terms of the By-law and it was pointed out that the By-law would govern all properties within the City boundaries, but would be enforced only upon the receipt of a complaint. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger indicated that although he agreed in principle with the proposal he felt it would be advantageous to the design of the proposed innovative housing if the site was replotted to create lots with a minimum 40‘ frontage.
