Re: G.V.R.D. Meeting ~July 30th, 1975

-We accepted the new. rate of $4.05 per Ton for garbage, an increase of
15 cents per Ton.

-The Board accepted the recommendation that new Hospital Boards be
authorized extra expenditures up to $5,000.00 per year.

“We endorsed a recommendation from Dewdney-Alouette Regional District on
Dyking Costs. The Provincial Government to assume all dyking costs and
the Municipalities to pay for upkeep.

Oxbow Ranch - about 650 modular units are-to be placed on Oxbow Ranch,

I voted against this because I think that this area, with Burke Mountain,
has sufficient housing starts in the next few years and if we are to go
by the Livable Region Study, we will be far in excess of our quota.

_ Very interestly, the District of Coquitlam recommended that I should not
have 2 vote on the Planning Committee. I was very pleased that I didn't
even have to defend myself as Aldermen Rankin and Harcourt did this for
me.
